Facilitator: Victor H. Zarate, Physics
Not all our students need the same resources to succeed in STEM classes. Our students who have been Disproportionately Impacted (DI) have unique needs that we must address. One of the best ways to understand the needs of our students experiencing DI is to offer a learning community class, a class that is dedicated to DI students. This semester, Victor H. Zarate, will be teaching a PHYS 310 section with this format. He will talk about the work he did with the Umoja and Puente Programs that led to offering this class, and also about his experiences in the class so far.
