Student Design Team

Team Background and Composition:

The Student Design Team is a diverse group of ARC students who help inform the future direction of the college and improve our student-facing programs, services, processes, tools, and communication.
Team members participate in a number of design-related activities, including:

  • Providing feedback on how to make our programs and services more accessible to students
  • Assessing how systems and processes can be made more intuitive for students
  • Analyzing policy and procedures
  • Exploring and testing new technology tools and/or equipment
  • Serving on committees and/or workgroups
  • Engaging other students in similar activities on campus

The Team was formed in Fall 2021 with 15 student employees and as of Fall 2022 is comprised of 8 team members. The team works directly with Valerie Adger in the Student Service department.
In Fall 2022, the Student Design Team received a commendation from the ACCO Accreditation Team for their work in providing ongoing valuable feedback to the campus community.

Project Requests

Examples of prior projects for the Team include Focus Group and Committee participation, review of existing marketing and outreach materials, targeted student outreach etc.
