In spring 2024, the Office of Equity, Institutional Effectiveness, & Innovation is planning to offer the college community the opportunity to participate in community healing spaces. Healing spaces are small in-person gatherings intended to offer intentional spaces for healing and deeper processing while in the presence of community. While the grief and uncertainty caused by the closure of Davies Hall in fall 2023 was the original reason the office has planned to hold these spaces at our college, the focus of these spaces will depend on what participants bring to them.

In this one-hour informational sessions about healing spaces, the facilitators will:

  • Share the purpose of healing sessions
  • Provide an overview of the "what" and "how" of healing sessions, including the types of prompts and flow participants can expect
  • Hold a question and answer session
