Are you looking for an innovative, high quality instructional method that promotes student and faculty engagement, increases student satisfaction, and decreases faculty workload? It’s called Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and the Instructional Technology Center (ITC) is excited to announce that CAST is coming to ARC to provide a 90 minute overview of the UDL framework. UDL is an instructional design approach that creates a barrier-free learning environment by emphasizing student abilities and being learner-centered. Best of all, UDL is intentionally focused on supporting student groups at ARC who are disproportionately impacted, however in doing so, it benefits all students in the process!
This is the first step in a larger opportunity that is being developed to support ARC in putting UDL into everything that we do. Please join us to learn more about the who, why, and how of UDL.
